A "Thank You" to the RYLA

RYLA is working and the students do enjoy it. Below is a letter submitted to the Rockport Rotary Club’s RYLA coordinator Stephenie Cochran. It says it all.

Good morning Stephanie!

I am writing to let you know that our son, Joseph had an absolutely fantastic time at RYLA camp! I did not have the opportunity to sit and discuss the camp with my son until I returned from a business trip.

I did not warn him ahead of time that his phone would be confiscated, so the news of this on the drive to camp was quite a shock. I also had told him ahead of time to read his paperwork to be sure to bring the items needed for camp, which he forgot to do. Thanks for stopping to get him some towels!!

Joseph said he met such incredibly nice, funny, and personable kids at the camp. He spoke of the activities and games with such enthusiasm! I am so grateful and overjoyed that he had a great experience at the RYLA camp. As parents, we can only hope for positive influences that foster growth and development to enter the lives of our children. Joseph enjoyed the camp so much that he signed up to be a counselor at RYLA in 2015.
