The 2020 Census counts every person living in the United States and five U.S. territories. In mid-March, homes across the country began receiving invitations to complete the 2020 Census. Once the invitation arrives, you should respond for your home

in one of three ways: online, by phone, or by mail. When you respond to the census, you'll tell the Census Bureau where you live as of April 1, 2020.

Less than 25% of Aransas County residents have responded. Can we help increase that percentage? Who can we encourage to respond? Let's do our part.

April 1 was Census Day, 2020, one of the most important days of the year for our small County and our low-virus area. I know some of you are working hard to keep your businesses going,but I also know some of you have some free time to give to our area on behalf of Rotary. Here's the deal.

We need you, as a fellow Rotarian to answer and act on this question.

"HAVE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY REGISTERED FOR THE CENSUS 2020??????. IT IS EASY. YOU SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED A LETTER GIVING YOU A CENSUS id #, BUT YOU DON'T NEED IT. TO REGISTER, GO TO "2020CENSUS.GOV" IF YOU DON'T HAVE YOUR LETTER, YOU CAN REGISTER JUST BY KEYING IN YOUR ADDRESS IN THE QUESTIONNAIRE, AS IT TELLS YOU."

THIS SHOULD TAKE ABOUT 5 - 10 MINUTES BUT IT COULD MEAN A GREAT DEAL TO OUR COMMUNITY. And by the way, you can also call in to 844-330-2020 and answer the question. That is called registering by Address, wherever you usually stay, or slept the night of April 1, 2020
