March of Dimes

Heather Butscher and Sara Longoria from the Corpus Christi March of Dimes office presented the program for the Rockport Rotary on Thursday, January 8th. Both ladies took the opportunity to explain their roles with the March of Dimes and also gave a brief history of how the March of Dimes began and what their focus would be for the future.

 

The March of Dimes played a key role along with Rotary in the ratification of Polio at its conception now that Polio has been eradicated in the US they are currently focusing on the prevention of premature births and infant mortality.
