November’s Vocational Award

Phyllis Kline presented November’s Vocational Award to Derek Hurst, who is the builder of Captain’s Bay Estates along with other projects in Rockport.  The award was based on him developing Captain’s Bay and building affordable, quality housing in the $130,000 to $160,000 -/+ range at a time when no other builder was doing that.  Basically, he saw a need and stepped in to fill that niche.
