Rockport Film Festival

The Rockport Film Festival (RFF) celebrates the best of independent cinema on the Texas Coast. Showcasing shorts, features, documentaries, animations and student films, Rockport Film Festival is a welcoming three-day event that highlights talent from all over the world. Held the first weekend in November annually.

ImageRFF offers an affordable retreat where art meets environment, where filmmakers, professionals, and enthusiasts can network and relax, and enjoy films that are rarely seen elsewhere without having to wait in long lines or navigate multiple theater venues. The Festival holds outdoor screenings, red carpet parties, and plays host to filmmakers, producers, and industry professionals all in the relaxing environment of Rockport, named a "Top-10 Coastal Art Community" by Coastal Living Magazine.

The RFF audience is growing, and enthusiasm among the community continues to rise each year. Films with a Texas or Southwest flavor or works that focus on fine or performing arts and humanitarian themes are strongly considered, but RFF has screened a wide variety of films from all over the world.

"Best of" and "People's Choice" awards are presented at each edition of RFF. Alumni include Layton Blaylock (ART FROM THE STREETS), Justin Adler (RISE AND SHINE), and Alan Barber (SIX MAN, TEXAS) who declares, "Never before have we received such enthusiastic attention for our film coupled with great hospitality."

With only one film playing at a time, each official selection stands out, making RFF an excellent place to premiere or showcase a film. We hope to see you at this year's Festival!
